Collective Beauty Haul: Month of August

Hello! I'm back with another haul or should I say hoarding of beauty products.

I usually shop or look for new stuffs across IG, Facebook and famouse online shopping website. I rarely go mall shopping cause everytime I do, I go crazy shopping for something that meets my eye.

Well, without further chitchat here are the products that I purchased for the month of August.

(1) Hayan Korean Cosmetics:

Hayan Moisture Lip Balm - P150($3.45); Hayan Whitening & EGF Mask Sheet For Woman

Got these items from their outlet store in SM.
I am certified skincare addict and are always on a look out for new skincare products to try. I've been hearing about this skincare line becoming popular because of their affordability, and thought why not try them too since they didn't even cost me P250($5).

(2) Exquisite Deluxe

Exquisite Deluxe Face & Eye Precision Brushes - P850

Bought these from IG: @exquisitesdeluxe.
These face and eye precision brushes reminds me of Real Techniques Brushes or the infamous Sigma Brush line. I love the sophisticated and professional look of the brushes, and when I tried using it feels soft and gives me precision in application of makeup.

Thumbs Up for Exquisite Deluxe :)

(3) MUA

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer (Criminal) - P400($9.20)

Bought this from www.makeuphub.com
I bought this after reading alot of good reviews from fellow bloggers. Since I work as a nurse, I really don't have time to redo my makeup every few hours. And any lip makeup that promises long lasting effect is a must try for me.

(4) Lipcote

           Lipcote Lip Sealer - P340($7.82)

Bought this from IG: @khei_shop.

Been eyeing this tiny bottle for a long time and now I finally have this. <clapclap>
This product promises to lock and seal my lip makeup in place for hours even after eating, drinking or kissing. Bought this on sale from @khei_shop which they import directly from UK.

(5) Dolly Wink

Dolly Wink Eyebrow Mascara (Mocha) - P250($5)

Bought this from IG: @makeupholics
I think this is the cheapest eyebrow mascara I bought. Made in Japan and gives me a natural dark brown full eyebrow finish.

(6) Mememe

Mememe Seventh Heaven Moisturizing Facebase - P200($4); Mememe Flawless Cream Foundation (beige blush) and Mememe Flawless Concealer (beige) - P500($5)

Bought these from IG: @makeupholics.
The main reason I bought these is because I got curious of the brand name. Never heard of this brand but it was recommended by the seller so I went on and bought them. Plus they're on sale. LOL

(7) Rucy's Vanity

               T-B: Rucy's Auto Eyebrow Pencil (brown and grey) - P70($1.61);
                         Rucy's Vanity Quad Eyeshadow (#1 & #3) - P200($4)

Bought this from IG: @joyceesola
I'm constantly looking for a good eyebrow liner and eyeshadow that isn't that pricey for everyday makeup. Glad I found a makeup line that is both affordable and better than most brands I know.
Rucy's Vanity is a fairly new korean makeup line that makes quality but affordable beauty products. I also believe that this is a must try makeup brand.

(10) NYX Cosmetics

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (San Paulo & Istanbul) - P280($6.44)

Brought this from IG: @makeupholics.
I love matte lip creams because I personally think they are smudge-proof and long-wearing. These two lip shades are good for everyday makeup.

(8) MUA

MUA Matte Lipstick (Wild Berry & Totally Nude) - P200($4)

Bought this from www.makeuphub.com
I think every girl has to have a nude and dark lipstick so I bought these two from MakeupHub just to try if it will fit my lips. Plus they are on sale! Hahaha

(9) BeautyUk

BeautyUk Eye Prime FX - P150($3.45)

Bought this from IG: @makeupholics
This is the first BeautyUk product that I bought plus it's on super sale, so it's a bargain for me. Still considering between “if this is just an okay or the best” drugstore eye primer I've used.

(10) E.L.F

                                 Elf Cream Eyeliner - P180($4.13)

Bought this from IG: @makeupholics.
I always use pen liner so this is my first ever cream liner pot. I bought this one on sale to use for practice before actually trying out a more quality type cream liner.

Which product have you tried and liked?

Disclaimer: All the products bought are on sale from the mentioned sellers.

See You Soon!

                                                                                                                            Cherry :)

Review: Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

Annyeong! Since I did a major haul of korean beauty products this past month. I thinks it's time to give my take on each of them.

Here's the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream:

I bought this one from @koreana_ph at instagram for only P350 ($8) for the full size tube of 45ml. I think this is probably the cheapest snail product I bought so far. What really caught my attention is that it's a SNAIL GEL CREAMSnail products have been pretty popular around asian beauty culture. I wonder why gel cream when I think it's really only gel at first glance.

The Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream contains 74% of filtrated snail mucus that is know to bring homeostasis (balance) on our skin. The product pretty much promises to bring the ff result: skin relaxation, skin tightening, pore tightening, full nutrition and moisture and trouble vestige care.

Packaging:

The packaging is pretty simple. The box and tube are in light pink shade, but what I love about their box is the Mizon authentication sticker -- we all know how fake one are bound to find their in the market once a product becomes popular. The full size tube is great for travel purposes. It doesn't take up much space in my bag :)

What I love about the packaging is how hygienic the product is. When you take the cap off you will see that the tube is sealed (meaning it's not sampled or contaminated). Thumbs Up!

Smell: None. It doesn't smell funny either.

Consistency and Application:

Although this is said to be a Gel Cream, the consistency in my opinion is gel through and through. It slips and is absorbed easily by my skin, thanks to the silicone ingredient. I really don't think of this as a cream since it doesn't leave my skin in a oily state unlike some creams and despite of it's snaily consistency.

I used this one the first time as my last basic skincare step, and I woke up feeling my skin very moisturized and hydrated in the morning. Since I usually have one or two zits appearing due to the nature of my profession --- zombie nurse --- I tried to use this on one of my zits to see if it really has that trouble vestige care. I think my zits dried up after 2 days of application, so overall I think this is good for healing up zits. But so far, I haven't seen some of my stubborn spots to fade after 1 week of using this product.

I think with continuous usage, maybe 6 weeks, it would be beneficial for your skin. Although I don't use this everyday, I use this whenever I want to relax my stressed out face. I usually put this in the refrigerator for 30mins and then use this as an overnight mask to give me the hydrated and relax face in the morning.

Pros:
1. Affordable for only PHP350.00
2. Doesn't leave my skin oily after application.
3. Good for hydration.
4. Hygienic

Con:
1. Pretty average like any gel moisturizer.
2. Doesn't live up to my expectation.

Rating: 4/5

Would I recommend this? I think it can be used as an everyday moisturizer for hydration, but that's it. :)

What's your favorite snail product?

End of June Korean Beauty Haul!

I have been a make-up junkie/hoarder/addict or whatever you call it for 5 years now. I love trying different beauty products in the market, some with awesome results, others with "just okay", and if I'm unfortunate enough a disaster.

And I'm sure a lot of you can empathize with me that it takes a lot of courage to break our ‘comfort zone’ items and venture to try out other products out there in the market.
That's where this theme “No Pain, No Gain” came from. Just kidding!

Now on to my main topic, “My End of June Korean Beauty Haul”. Yes, KOREAN! In my quest for finding the Ins and Outs of Korean Beauty Regimen, I was constantly in the look out of new and exciting sometimes bizarre products to try on. Sadly, there aren't that many Korean Beauty Shops here in the Philippines, although I heard that Korean Brands like Tony Moly, SkinFood, Nature Republic, etc are starting to expand here. That’s both good and bad news. The good side being the brand more accessible to the general public while the down side was err the double sometimes triple pricing of the products.

There are two other options to get your hands to these Korean babies; (1) To personally go to Korea ---- Myeong-dong District ---- where all the brands you want are. Note: seat sales for this trip sells like hot pancakes. (2) Online Shops, and I mean online stores that sells authentic korean beauty products, not the SG ones, class A or whatever you call it. Note: I take no offense to those class A products.

I chose Option 2 in which I did a research on trusted Korean Online Shops here in the Philippines. I came upon the shop of @koreana_ph at Instagram own by Ms. Szakiyah Pena. She's one of the online shops here in the Philippines that sell Authentic Korean Brands. What I love about this shop is that almost all items are onhand and sells in a pretty decent price. Ms. Pena also offers freeshipping and cool discounts. She's also flexible and answers all my queries with so much patience.

I ordered and received my in just two days. Fast and efficient! :)
Order/Payment: 6/27
Shipped: 6/27
Recieved: 6/28

Here's my package:

When I received my package, she forgot about my addition, the 3W Clinic Professional Powder but was honest about it and shipped the item the same day. Note: All my orders are freeshipped :)

Here's a quick peek of the products I got. I'm going to have a review of each of these products in the following days!

(1)

                                              Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream 45ml - P350 ($8)

What’s the use: I’ve read a lot of reviews from fellow bloggers about this product and decided to get one to see why everyone is raving this even though it's a SNAIL Cream.

Snail Products are pretty popular not only in Korea but even in Japan and Thailand :)

(2)

                   Scinic 7 Vitamins VITA Plus Cover CC Special Cushin SPF50+++ 12g - P1000 ($23)

What's the use: Also a new rave from Korea. It's basically a BB or CC Cream in compact and a special polyurethane puff that can be of use to retouch your make-ups in a hassle-free way.

This compact is an innovative sponge cushion design, that creates radiant and natural glow upon the light application to the skin. Covers skin texture and blemish clearly to create transparent, natural and illuminating skin. Contains 7 essential vitamins: Vitamin E, B3, B5, B6, C, H, F, extract from Sea Buckhorn.

(3)

                                       Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #21 20ml - P450 ($10)

This is probably my top 1 BB cream of all time. This BB cream never ceases my expectation no matter how long I been using it. :)
What's the use: It's a lightweight blemish balm cream with excellent coverage and dark spot correction. It also has high UV Protection with SPF42 PA+++ and works as an anti-aging cream.

(4)

Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lip Master #4 Allure Orange, 5ml - P480 ($11)

This product is probably the one that I'm most excited to try, as I love peachy or orangey lip color and is always on the look out for a lip brand that would match my lips.
What's the use: Tint + Gloss + Lipstick all in one lip color. Soft application with matte finish. Promises clear color, creamy and matte finish for long lasting lip makeup.

(5)

                                         Aritaum WannaBe Cushion Tint #3 Blondie - P400 ($9)

The top best seller cushion tint in Korea. With 10 vibrant colors and Lip Concealer to choose from. Best use in applying the famous korean ulzzang gradient lips. If you meet this one, you could not satisfy with other lip makeup products

(6)

                                     SkinFood Vita Water Drop CC Cream SPF35PA+++ D2 - P600 ($13)

If you guys know BB cream then I'm sure you have heard of CC cream, aka Complete Control Cream, the all-in-one cream that works on both skin care and makeup. SkinFood Vita Water Drop CC Cream is the first generation CC cream of SkinFood. I've read great reviews on this product and decided to add this on my list of must-try :)
What's the use: This product is absorbed in the skin deeply making the skin smooth. This product have the function of skincare and skincover, protects skin while making the skin tone brighter.

(7)

                                      3W Clinic Professional Natural Make-Up Powder #23 - P400 ($9)

My number 1 setting powder on my list of must-buys. This product is I think comparable to Ben Nye Luxury Powder and even Revlon Mineral Powder (and we all know how expensive the latter is!)
What's the use: Popular among celebrities and women in Korea, the ultra-fine powder secures  makeup in place even when sweating while keeping skin moisturized. It creates a soft-focus effect for a brighter, smoother complexion.

Ms. Pena also is generous in giving samples of korean brands. Here are the samples that came with my items:

Ms. Pena also has a physical store at I think in Cavite. You can contact her on the ff. sites below:

                                        www.facebook.com/szakiyahpena
                                        www instagram.com/koreana_ph

Oh and since I was excited to try on the products, I did a little make-up here and there.

Basic Skin Care --> Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream --> Lioele Dr. Ampoule --> SkinFood Vita Water Drop CC Cream --> Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream --> 3W Clinic Powder --> 4U2 Auto Eyebrow Liner --> Revlon Mascara --> In2it Cheek Palette (Peach) --> Vaseline Lip Theraphy --> Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lip Master #4.
PS: Excuse my zits! Having a bad breakout right now :)

And that's the end of my June Korean Haul! Hope you all like it. Which of these products have you tried and liked? Comment down and let me know. Until next time! :)

Here Goes Valentine’s Day

Okay, so now your dreading Valentine’s Day? Chill'out!

For those of you who planned 3 months ahead just to make Feb. 14 a romantic and special day ---- GOOD FOR YOU!
But for those of you who’re still raking for brains on how to make that special day memorable for the two of you, I’m might just have some tips to help you :)

Here are some things to consider in planning your memorable day; whether you would be making, baking, or buying whatever it is you think fits his or her taste:

Personalized & Unique. Nothing will go wrong if you’ll add your own personal touch in giving or preparing your valentines surprises. Personal effort goes a long way in a relationship, but I’m not saying that buying is not worth an effort. It’s just that even simple things that you yourself made is alot more romantic or touchy than buying something extravagant just to show how much he/she means to you.

*Why not try making a video with you singing his/her favorite song or a short film on how you met each other. Go out of your comfort zone and be adventurous -- even if you're tone deaf nothing beats being inlove :)

Or

*If it fits you budget you can go to any personalized gift shops like this one:

SM City Calamba, Real Road, Calamba City 4070 Laguna
Tel: 049 530 (200140)
Instagram: itsamatch_ph

I personally think this store is one of the best souvenir shop there is, well in the South I mean. This shop meets every client needs and you will surely find something unique that represents your love for each other.

For those who love to do online shopping even if you’re a guy, yeah I know guys who love to shop online <wink>.
You can try shopping for personalized and unique finds here:

http://elregaloshop.com/

Usefulness. Being a couple means knowing your partner’s needs. That’s one of the things to consider in preparing a valentines present. So giving practical gifts like mugs, tumblers, pens, notepads, planner, etc with a personalized twist will definitely not go out of style. He/she will not only think of you on Valentine’s Day but everytime he/she use the gift which is about EVERYDAY :) Oh swoon!

Precious. Gifts can be precious even without spending so much. Try giving him/her something that reminds of all your days spent together. Or if you’re one of the lucky ones who could afford luxury for their beloved, you can give him/her a unique jewerly that would signify your love. You all know how good ole’ jewerly would make him/her feeling extra special.

Be in your budget. This one I don’t even have to explain. But remember, you don’t have to spend extravagantly today and have headaches later just to make Valentine’s day special. You just need a creative mind and the right attitude to do it.

Well here you are folks, till next doodles :)
Mwah! xoxo

Ps: I do not own the pictures, thank you google for that. No copyright infringement intended.

My Fiery Ombre Hair

It has been 4 months after had my Digi-permed hair and I so far I’m still lovi'n it. Although contrary to popular beliefs that having a permed hair is low maintenance, hmm, I don't think so. Well if you actually want your curls to last, you need alot of curl maintenance product, the most important thing ---- conditioner. You really need to find a not just good but very good conditioner for you hair especially if it's treated. But for now, I'm going to talk about my experience in getting an Ombre Hairstyle.

Here are some thing you may want to think about before getting an Ombre Hair:

 Do your research.
Google is your friend :) Before rushing into things do a little research. Nothing would go wrong if you would do a little research about the different shades and styles of ombre. Things to take in consideration would be if the type of shade is proper for your age, occupation or school. Look for pictures that you think would fit your skin tone and hair color. I would recommend watching ombre hairstyle videos from popular asian hair artist: Guy Tang (http://youtube.com/sailoguy).

My ombre shade was inspired from one of his videos! :)

First Time?
If your a beginner, which means your not experienced in dyeing your hair, I strongly recommend seeing a professional to assist your transformation -- which was what I did :)
Better seek professional help that actually permanently damaging your locks. Since our crowning glory greatly defines our looks. My locks was taken care of by MJ, the senior stylist in MetroHair Salon and Spa. I also believe that not all salons can do a great ombre hairstyle, it depends on the experience of the stylist, as well as the quality of the hair products that they use. An experienced stylist would be able to see in one look and suggest what style fits you the most if you're not sure of what shade to get :)

 The After Effect
Changing your hair color means adding chemicals to your hair. Chemicals = damaging your hair. So if you don't want to damage your hair, I suggest you should think twice before trying this.

Here are some photos of my ombre shade taken from the salon:

This is me <obviously> before getting dyed.

Getting my Ombre Shade from MetroHair Salon and Spa ( Im so nervous!)

After Pic :) MJ the stylist said that it would fade into a lighter and softer tone after few washes 

A week after: true to his word my ombre shade turned to lighter and softer tones after few okay maybe more washes. Lol
